ABOUT US
Horizon Conservation is a foundation registered in Colombia. The foundation aims to contribute to wildlife and ecosystem’s conservation. Horizon Conservation was born from a passionate group of professionals who want to dedicate their lives to conserve Colombian biodiversity, emphasising the Tropical Dry Forest and the Caribbean region.
Under a global conservation model, the foundation develops, implements and monitors strategies to protect Colombian biodiversity through research, education and
dissemination, promoting a future where diversity of life is effectively conserved, favouring harmony between Nature and Society.
The horizon is the basis of the foundation, it is the line on which the surface of the earth and the sky meet. The horizon represents the place where the diversity of life converges. At the foundation, we work to inspire, move and transform people's realities at regional, national and international levels.
Mission
The mission of Horizon Conservation is to contribute to a sustainable future for Colombia's most neglected and threatened species and ecosystems.
Vision
Horizon Conservation works for a sustainable future where different life forms thrive, and harmony between nature and society prevails. By 2025, the NGO will contribute to conserving the country’s Tropical Dry Forest by consolidating a Natural Reserve in the Caribbean region.

OUR OBJECTIVES
To develop scientific and technical knowledge on biodiversity conservation through plans, programs and research projects.
To inspire attitudes and behaviours that contribute to the transformation of the environment.
To promote educational initiatives through agreements or alliances, participation and environmental management processes based on the needs and policies of the territory.
To support the creation, consolidation and sustainable management of regional, national and civil society protected areas.
To develop activities for the conservation, recovery, protection, management, use and exploitation of renewable natural resources.
To establish inter-institutional relationships to build strategies and policies for the conservation of biodiversity and its ecosystems.
